We reserve the right to update or modify these terms at any time without prior notice.
🛒 Orders & Payments
All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including but not limited to:
Suspected fraud
Incorrect pricing or listing errors
Unsafe shipping conditions
Once an order is placed, you agree that all information provided is accurate and complete.
Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, or limit sales at our sole discretion.
This includes situations where we believe a purchase may pose a risk to the animal, violate our policies, or involve unsafe shipping conditions.
📦 Shipping Policy
Live Jumping Spiders
Shipped via FedEx Priority Overnight only
In some cases we may need to confirm shipping dates via email before shipment
If we do not receive confirmation, your order will be held until confirmed
Supplies & Accessories
Shipped via USPS First Class (standard)
Optional USPS Priority Shipping (expedited, additional cost)
May ship via FedEx if combined with live spider orders
Shipping Area
We currently ship within the United States only.
Carrier Delays & Uncontrollable Events
Once a package has been transferred to the shipping carrier, delivery times are outside of our control. We are not responsible for delays, mishandling, or errors caused by the shipping carrier.
This includes, but is not limited to, delays due to weather, mechanical issues, routing errors, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Live Arrival Guarantee coverage applies only when all stated conditions are met and does not extend to carrier-related delays beyond our control.
🕷️ Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG)
We take great care in packaging and shipping our spiders safely. Hold for pickup at a FedEx hub is strongly recommended and is the safest option
To qualify for our Live Arrival Guarantee:
- Hold for pickup at a FedEx hub that allows live animals is the only shipping method covered by our LAG
- Must be picked up within 2 hours of delivery
- Must contact us within 1 hours of delivery
- If reporting a DOA (Dead on Arrival) or any incidence, must include clear photo AND video proof
If approved for LAG, we offer:
Replacement, or store credit
⚠️ Customer is responsible for reshipping costs
❗ LAG Void Conditions
The Live Arrival Guarantee is void if any of these conditions took place:
- Not shipped to a FedEx Hub that allows live animals
- If shipped home or place of work
- Package is picked up 2+ hours after available for pick up at the FeEx hub
- If incorrect shipping information was provided
- The customer fails to follow instructions or communication
- Extreme weather risks were ignored or not approved
- If issues not reported within 1 hour after pick up
🌡️ Weather & Shipping Conditions
We monitor weather conditions closely and may delay shipments during unsafe temperatures.
General guidelines:
Below 35°F or above 90°F may be unsafe, however, shipping decisions depend on multiple factors.

🏠 Delivery Responsibility
If you choose home delivery:
Someone must be available all day to receive the package
The spider must be brought inside immediately
We strongly recommend selecting FedEx Hold for Pickup, as it is the safest option and only option covered by our Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG).
💸 Returns & Refunds
Live Animals
All sales are final for live animals except as outlined in our Live Arrival Guarantee.
No returns or refunds unless covered under the Live Arrival Guarantee
Supplies & Accessories
Returns accepted within 7 days of delivery
Items must be unused and in original condition
Customer is responsible for:
Return shipping costs
Reshipping costs (if replacement is requested)
🧾 Live Animal Disclaimer & Liability
By purchasing from our store, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
All jumping spiders and live animals are sold in good health and condition at the time of shipping. Once an order has been successfully delivered, we are not responsible for issues arising from improper handling, environmental conditions, or care.
It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure appropriate habitat setup, temperature, humidity, and ongoing care upon arrival. We strongly recommend reviewing our care guides prior to purchase.
Due to the sensitive nature of live animals, we do not guarantee behavior, appetite, molting success, or lifespan after delivery.
By completing your purchase, you agree that we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the ownership or care of the animal after delivery.
If there is an issue with your order upon arrival, you must contact us within the timeframe outlined in our Shipping & Live Arrival Guarantee policy.

⚠️ Handling, Bites & Allergic Reactions
Jumping spiders are generally considered non-aggressive and rarely bite. However, like any animal, they may bite if they feel threatened, stressed, or improperly handled.
A bite may cause mild discomfort, irritation, or, in rare cases, an allergic reaction. Individual reactions can vary, and there is no way to determine in advance whether a person may be allergic.
By purchasing and handling live animals from Little Spoods, you acknowledge and accept all risks associated with handling, including but not limited to bites, allergic reactions, or other unforeseen effects.
You agree that Little Spoods is not liable or responsible for any injury, reaction, or damages resulting from the handling, care, or interaction with any live animal purchased from our store.
Customers are responsible for ensuring safe handling practices and for keeping animals away from children, pets, or individuals who may be at risk.
📸 Photos, Lighting, Size Representation & Mystery Selections
We make every effort to accurately represent our jumping spiders through photos and descriptions. However, colors, patterns, and overall appearance may vary due to lighting, camera settings, and individual screen displays.
Our photos are taken using bright white lighting and macro lenses to capture detail. As a result:
• Spiders may appear brighter or more vibrant in photos than they do in typical indoor lighting
• Spiders may appear larger than their actual size due to macro photography
Jumping spiders are living animals, and natural variation in color, pattern, and size is normal. Appearance may also change over time, especially after molting.
For “mystery” spider purchases, we will select a healthy individual that is not currently in molt. Specific colors, patterns, or individual traits cannot be guaranteed.
By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and accept these variations. We do not accept returns or refunds based on differences in appearance, coloration, or personal preference.
🧬 Sex, Age & Development Disclaimer
Sex is only guaranteed when explicitly stated on the product listing.
Unless specified, we do not guarantee the sex, age, or maturity of any jumping spider.
Juvenile spiders may develop differently over time, and sex may not be accurately determined until maturity.
By purchasing, you acknowledge and accept that changes in size, appearance, and development are a natural part of the animal’s growth.
